Summary

As a Logistics Technician at DSV, you will be responsible for ensuring that shipments are received, processed, and shipped according to established procedures and customer requirements. You will work closely with logistics coordinators, warehouse staff, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure that logistics operations are executed efficiently and accurately. You will also be responsible for maintaining records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and ship customer orders according to established procedures and customer requirements
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure that inventory is accurately counted, located, and managed
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure that shipments meet customer specifications
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including shipment manifests, bills of lading, and customs documentation
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to logistics operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as hazardous materials handling and transportation security
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to identify and implement process improvements
  • Operate and maintain logistics equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Educational background / Work experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations is preferred for this position.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications used in logistics operations
  • Experience with logistics equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management, such as APICS or CSCMP
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, such as customer service or account management
  • Experience with inventory management systems, such as SAP or Oracle

Language skills

  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications used in logistics operations is required.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is a plus.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $20.00 – $30.00 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
