Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Manager, Logistics Systems & Processes is a corporate level position. It is primarily responsible for the full-scale implementation and roll out of the global Warehouse Management System, within the designated country. As part of this role, the position is responsible for developing standard operating procedures, aligning business needs with those of the clients, and educating all users on effective and efficient system use across all contract logistics facilities in the country.

  • Lead and manage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) rollout in the US
  • Define operational requirements for WMS software upgrades deployment, software upgrades, system configuration.
  • Create, document, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and best practices
  • Develop training manuals and related documentation, and ensure materials are updated and available for local use.
  • Conduct WMS operational implementation changes and live training sessions with local facilities
  • Recommend and manage operational system changes including new concepts, system improvements, changes with software supplier, and other innovations needed for long term success
  • Create operational system training documents and resources for system users
  • In collaboration with corporate business support team and human resources department, develop and deploy virtual training materials at the user and manager level on all functions of the WMS
  • Collaborate with IT and operations to develop System testing scenarios, conduct operational system tests, identify discrepancies, troubleshoot solutions, and provide resolutions
  • Work with Inventory Management on WMS configuration and stock reconciliations
  • Assist all departments and other onsite business partners with interfacing requests with WMS software.
  • Ensure all 3PL physical client services are aligned to functionality and reporting within the WMS system.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in logistics systems
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) operations environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in project management and implementation
  • Recent experience with one or more WMS
  • Experience as a super user in operating WMS, order management applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VISO a plus but not required)
  • Understanding of Warehouse Operational Processes, WMS, and order management applications
  • Strong ability to interpret customer specifications into operational process flows, utilize WMS functionality to resolve operational problems and articulate WMS functionality to others
