Senior Logistics Project Manager

DHL SUPPLY CHAIN France (2,000 employees) is recruiting a Senior Logistics Project Manager to strengthen its Healthcare/Life sciences activity to support the France Projects Department in the implementation of logistics projects .

Reporting to the Director of DHL Supply Chain France Projects, you will be in charge of managing projects for the development of logistics activities, supporting customer transformation and participating in the establishment of new customers. You will be able to work on organizational, implementation, mechanization, robotization, digitalization or innovation projects.

Your tasks :

• Analyze the needs with the various internal and external interlocutors concerned
• Be responsible for the achievement of project key performance indicators in terms of profitability, quality and production readiness
• Make an inventory showing the malfunctions
• Present and propose to the management quantified and argued solutions in a process of continuous improvement
• Guarantee and coordinate the proper implementation of the chosen solutions
• Establish the budget and track costs
• Compare the results achieved with the objectives set
• Communicate the conclusions and results achieved to the people concerned
• Monitor the project to ensure that it meets expectations and implement the necessary adjustments
• Ensure a technological and logistical watch
• Securing project resources and controlling them
• Resolve all project related issues requiring support from all appropriate functions through project escalation.
• Check and validate the activities of the project team members and propose a schedule scenario to achieve the milestones.
• Prepare documents for the decision-making process for the relevant committees
• Manage all project changes (internal and customer) and coordinate system projects.
• Escalate to the right level and with the necessary speed and anticipation any deviations from objectives.
• Support for a small team of 2 junior project managers (PMO role)
• Macro and micro project management (there are strategic, as well as operational and pragmatic aspects)

Position based in : La Plaine Saint Denis (Head Office) – Travel is to be expected in France and during project deployments: 2 days every week.

Required profile :

You are a graduate of an engineering school or a university equivalent and you have significant experience in managing implementation projects (8/10 years) acquired within an international group. Ideally, you also have one or more certifications in program / project management (PMI, ITIL, PRINCE2…).

You have a perfect command of project management tools to ensure planning, costing, budget monitoring, risk identification and management, etc.

You have good knowledge of program / project management and have already worked as an MOA, PMO project manager in a consulting firm or in banking / insurance.

You are comfortable with computer tools (office pack, etc.). To work in our international environment, you are fluent in English.
